Low Ropes and Zipwire

Many people are attracted to Ben Nevis as it is the highest mountain in Britain and it is not necessary to be a committed hillwalker to take up the challenge of climbing it. The easiest route starts from the Glen Nevis Visitor Centre and will take most people 7–9 hours to complete the round trip. It can take longer in full winter conditions. The views are superb even from quite low level, which makes up for the fact that the summit is often shrouded in mist! The weather conditions can change quite rapidly as you make your way up the mountain and it is important to have adequate food, drink and clothing. We will supply you with a full kit list to help you decide what to have with you.

There is a range of accommodation available in Fort William if required and we are happy to recommend places.

If you would like to complete a winter ascent and have never had experience of using ice axe and crampons or walking in rigid boots it will be necessary to have a training day with us first so that we can cover the basic skills.
